"I was blown away by the amount of material and resources that we learned in the four days, and cannot express how amazing this course was.

Susie, Audrey, and the Logistikats team were instrumental (hah!) in helping me start the year off with a bang. I’ve come back into term 2 feeling energised and excited to try all these new songs and games with my older kids, and I’m hoping even my most detached of upper primary students will engage with some of these activities.

How is music important to education?

An involvement in a music program helps to educate the whole individual – intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and creatively.  Children develop confidence, self-esteem, memory, language, communication, listening, concentration, social skills, fine and gross motor skills, imagination and self-expression, while building an excellent foundation for future musical pursuits.

What does the reseach say about music education and development?

Research consistently links music and movement activities to supporting learning and development in education. We know that music can:

• Activate the brain for learning
• Trigger positive emotion
• Enhance physical development and social skills
• Build self-esteem and confidence
• Aid wellbeing
• Aid self-regulation

Music should be an important part of every high-quality primary school program.

"Susie Davies-Splitter has come through, yet again, with another brilliant music educators course.

With the highly capable teaching support and insight from Audrey Klein, this course was a brilliant insight into how the Orff approach works and, as someone who is still relatively new to this approach, I felt I gained further insight and encouragement in how to use these fabulous ideas in my own classroom. The course helped solidify my understanding by continually teaching through demonstration. After the first day, I wanted to go straight back into the classroom and start teaching all these wonderful ideas!

Both Susie and Audrey are personable and engaging, and teach with enthusiasm and a strong belief in all they do. Their excellence and years of experience constantly shone through. I highly recommend this course to anyone teaching music."

Keep up the amazing work, Susie and Audrey. You have inspired us all and are continuing to influence music education through us!"
