‘Four great songs about friends’ - to sing, move and play in choir, at graduation
and/or in the primary school Orff classroom - presented by Susie Davies-Splitter (M.Ed)
For music and class teachers in Early Childhood, Primary/Elementary School, Studio music teachers, and music therapists.
These songs fit the theme for Children’s Week 2021 (23 – 31st Oct) in Australia which is ‘Children have the right to choose their own friends and safely connect with others.’
These four songs – a combination of traditional and original songs that include jazz, folk and world music styles will cover some of the following:
- Actions, body percussion, movement or dance
- Orff percussion arrangements
- Improvisation
- Ukulele accompaniments
- Vocal harmonies
- Techniques - call and response and canon
- Pentatonic melodies and more
We use a multi-modal, multi-sensory, and Orff-based approach to help make the learning stick!
